Step One.
Last weekend was “Charity Weekend”. Our goal was not only to raise funds for Ondoy victims but also to raise AWARENESS about the tragedy. Even though Hurricane Ketsana was a big deal in the Filipino community, there are still people out there that don’t even know it happened. We wanted to do what we could to help change that.
Triangle Offense was part of a benefit concert for Project Overflow. The show featured Rhythmology dance crew, Giselle Sera-Josef and Jay Legaspi, among a wide variety of performers. We were honored to have been chosen to be included with such great talent!

As soon as we stepped on to perform, I noticed that the crowd was SO welcoming. We were so thankful for that. It always makes performing much easier! During our set, we unfortunately experienced some technical difficulties. While we were figuring it out, Rhythmology showed off some moves to keep the crowd entertained. GOOD LOOKS GUYS!

We continued our show and Jersey Boys Music’s first lady, Lindsay Kaye came out to perform a song with us along with one of her own. She was AMAZING as always!

Afterwards, Jay Legaspi helped us premiere our Ondoy tribute song. Shouts to Jay! I’m sure you’ll see us together again in the future. *wink*

Of course, we ended our set with everybody’s favorite song – our debut single, “TGIF“. We had a table where we were giving out free copies of the single. [These were all gone by the end of the night!]

People came over after our performance and asked for autographs. I was kinda WEIRDED OUT! It’s definitely something that I’m not accustomed to. I mean..people wanted my signature to remember the day we met! That was surreal to me.

After the event, we nabbed some pics with Rhythmology dance crew. They’re VERY cool and down to earth cats. You’ll also see us together in the future! *wink*

Afterwards, me and a few of my friends decided to top the night of with some YUMMY wings at Hooters, which was very close to the venue! My preference? Medium wings with ranch and hot sauce on the side [NOT the sauce on the table, ASK for it!]. BLEND the ranch and hot sauce for a succulent marriage of ABSOLUTE DELICIOUSNESS.

Two days later [Sunday], we participated in the Heal Manila Ping Pong Classic. It was held at SPiN located in Midtown NYC. Again, it was for the same cause, so we had to come thru, show our support and help as much as we could. Check out me and Finesse in FULL Ping Pong Attack mode LOL:

Finesse even entered the tournament and went against 3 opponents! Here he is getting his Forrest Gump on:

Thank you to everyone that showed love this weekend! Thank you to Project Overflow and Project Heal Manila for simply EXISTING. We need organizations like you to help the less fortunate. You are all AMAZING for putting these events together. Your time and effort is worth more than you’ll ever know.
This isn’t just a one time thing. This is an ONGOING PROCESS. You will definitely see Triangle Offense and other Jersey Boys Music artists at more benefits soon. ANYTHING to help people in need. We hope to see you there as well! Till then…!
sci.
P.S. – Thank you to Manny Pacquiao for completing this great weekend with a win FOR US! Congratulations!
